After leading several editorial teams and news agencies, Pascal took charge of a content production agency. In 2004, his life unexpectedly shifted as he took on the role of a family caregiver. This experience led him to represent patients and caregivers for many years as a member of a patient and healthcare system user association.

In 2015, he joined the French National Authority for Health (HAS), where he became a member of the Bureau in 2016 and Vice President in 2021 of the National Commission for the Evaluation of Medical Devices and Health Technologies (CNEDIMTS). Pascal actively participated in and moderated all CNEDIMTS evaluation sessions as a representative of patients and healthcare system users. Due to regulatory limitations, which cap CNEDIMTS membership at nine years (three three-year terms), he stepped down from the HAS in July.

He remains committed to supporting patient associations that aim to be involved in every stage of healthcare innovation—before, during, and after hospitalization—ensuring relevance to real-life experiences.

Pascal joins Nextep as a Senior Advisor, contributing to our shared mission: ensuring patient access to all healthcare technologies and enabling the best possible quality of life for patients, caregivers, and families, in collaboration with healthcare professionals and manufacturers.
